Biography

Yan Ling, Chief Physician, former Professor at Nanfang Hospital, Academic Leader in Plastic Surgery at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, and currently Director and Academic Leader of the Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery at the Third People's Hospital Affiliated to Southern Medical University.

She graduated from the First Military Medical University in 1986 and began working in plastic surgery. In 1989, she pursued a master's degree in Plastic Surgery at Nanfang Hospital Affiliated to the First Military Medical University under the supervision of Professor Luo Lisheng. After obtaining her master's degree in 1992, she worked continuously in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Nanfang Hospital. In 1996, she pursued a doctoral degree in Clinical Anatomy under the supervision of Professor Zhong Shizhen, a renowned academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. In July 2001, she went to the United States for postdoctoral research at Case Western Reserve University, USA. After returning to China in March 2003, she has been engaged in plastic surgery, aesthetic surgery, and microsurgery. In 2007, she was transferred to the Department of Plastic Surgery at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University as Director, Academic Leader in Plastic Surgery, and Postgraduate Supervisor. In 2021, she was appointed Director of the Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery and Academic Leader in Plastic Surgery at Southern Medical University. With 35 years of clinical experience to date, she specializes in various plastic and aesthetic surgical procedures and has independently performed more than 40,000 cases; her expertise covers various plastic and aesthetic surgical procedures.
